Essential Household Items

If you are moving into your first home and are not working, receiving benefits and have savings of less than £600, you must apply to the council for a Local Assistance Scheme grant (LAS). If you are not eligible for the LAS grant, then apply to us.

School Journey Grants

Children who are in Year 6 at junior school may be part-funded to enable them to participate in the school residential journey arranged before they transfer to secondary school. The parent(s)/carers are expected to pay half the cost of the journey. In cases where PGL covers part of the cost, the charity will top this up so that half of the journey cost is covered. The grants are paid directly to your child’s school and returned to the charity if for whatever reason your child is unable to attend.

School Uniform Grants

This is a contribution towards your child’s first secondary school uniform. If you are eligible you may receive £100 voucher for your local school uniform supplier. If you do apply, you will be asked to upload a copy of the acceptance letter/email from your chosen Secondary School.

Disability Grants

These grants are available to support additional activities or equipment that will benefit a child/young person who has multiple and complex needs. Please contact us on 0208 941 7866 for more information.
